Studying English at Cambridge offers students the experience of a lifetime.

Cambridge is famous for its long history spanning hundreds of years, breathtaking architecture, friendly academic community and an academic ranking as one of the best universities in the world.

The Cambridge Summer School provides students with an unique opportunity to fully immerse themselves in both English culture and one of the most academically rigorous environments in the world.

Cambridge is renowned worldwide for its English language programmes. As the home of IELTS, the Cambridge Summer School is the ideal place to learn English for any student, both postgraduate or undergraduate, wanting to further their studies overseas.

The Cambridge Summer School provides a balanced mixture of quality academic tuition and an exciting itinerary designed to immerse you in English culture and language outside the classroom. By participating in the course you will become familiar with the ancient university city of Cambridge, as well as other parts of the country. Your educational field trips will provide context and background to the programme, as well as a chance to practise your language skills with English people in real life situations.

Highlights of the programme include:
Intensive English language tuition by accredited English native speakers
Private accommodation at one of the most attractive colleges in Cambridge.
Full board dining (breakfast, lunch and dinner) within college is provided in the historic dining hall of the College on tuition days. Half board meals (breakfast and dinner) are provided on excursion days.
A tour of Cambridge covering the 800 years of academic excellence that the university represents. It includes a tour of magnificent King's College Chapel and the famous backs.
Afternoon punting on the Cam. This fun activity involves taking a traditional flat bottomed boat, propelled by a pole, down the river to see views of the most beautiful colleges from the water.
Full day London excursion including half day sightseeing with a guide. During your tour of the capital of Great Britain you will see Big Ben, the Tower of London, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, and the Changing of the Guard. In your free afternoon you may wish to visit one of London's wonderful art galleries or perhaps do some shopping at Harrods.
An English countryside excursion to Suffolk, which is the county made famous by the painter Constable. It includes Clare Castle (dating back to the Norman Invasion), and the charming villages of Lavenham and Long Melford. You will get a taste of some of the best, lush green English countryside immortalised in so many books and movies.
Evensong at Ely Cathedral. Ely is a small gracious city close to Cambridge, surrounded by the flat and watery landscape of the Fens. The first Christian church on this site dates back to around 650 AD. The current building is almost 1000 years old. The evensong is a spiritual and uplifting experience, sung by the cathedral choir of boys and men.
Tour of a private English country house and the home of Yaxley Education: Yaxley Hall. This unique experience will show you what it is like to live in an actual English historic country home, as opposed to homes that are not lived in any longer and which are effectively museums. Yaxley Hall is not open to the general public, but you will be welcomed by a personal tour and traditional English afternoon tea.
Farewell formal hall to round off your course with a graduation ceremony where you will be presented with a certificate upon successful completion of the course. This is a centuries tradition common to both Oxford and Cambridge in which formal attire is worn, guests rise when High Table is occupied and a grace is said in Latin before the meal. It will be a highlight of your first experience of college life.
